Prepared by Jewell

Read this first

This notice is a plain statement of what Steadfast is, what it is not, and what remains unproven. It is not fine print intended to excuse anything said elsewhere.

A disclaimer does not override Australian law. Nothing here protects a representation that is otherwise false, misleading or unsupported. Every claim in the memorandum and the summary is intended to be accurate, current and supportable, and any that is not should be corrected rather than disclaimed.

01Core professional disclaimer

Steadfast is not, and does not hold itself out as, any of the following.

A law firm A lawyer or legal practitioner A substitute for independent legal advice A financial adviser A financial product adviser An accountant A psychologist A counsellor A medical practitioner A family dispute resolution practitioner A mediator A crisis service An emergency service

Neither Jewell nor the founders are represented as qualified lawyers or as holding any other professional qualification, and should not be described as such unless and until that becomes factually true.

What Steadfast does provide

General information AI-assisted organisation Structured decision support Preparation tools Communication support General education Pathways to qualified professionals

It does not claim to provide professional advice where it is not authorised or qualified to do so.

03Artificial intelligence

Steadfast uses artificial intelligence. AI-generated information may contain errors, misunderstand what it is given, omit important context, be incomplete, or fail to reflect later changes to law, procedure or external services unless the relevant knowledge source has been updated. It may also rely on information supplied by the user that is itself inaccurate.

Steadfast helps organise and understand information. It does not make professional decisions for the user.

AI confidence is not professional certainty and is not presented as such. Where information is material to legal rights, children’s safety, personal safety, financial decisions, or medical or mental-health issues, verify it with the appropriate qualified professional.

The architectural controls described in the memorandum – schema validation of structured output, deterministic application code, a capped context – are designed to reduce certain failure modes. They do not eliminate the possibility of error.

04Information supplied by the user

Steadfast works substantially from what the user tells it. It does not independently know that something happened merely because a user says it happened.

Steadfast can help organise what you tell it, but it cannot independently verify every statement, allegation, document or event.

This is why the system distinguishes fact, user-reported event, allegation, assumption, professional finding and unknown. That classification is a discipline for keeping the record honest. It is not evidentiary verification, and Steadfast does not perform evidentiary verification.

05Parenting

Where parenting is discussed, children’s best interests are central, circumstances vary widely, and safety issues can fundamentally change what is appropriate.

Steadfast does not:

  • determine parenting arrangements;
  • guarantee time with children;
  • adjudicate competing accounts.

Actual parenting arrangements may be affected by agreements, court orders, safety issues and professional assessment. Steadfast helps a user understand, organise, communicate, document, prepare and seek appropriate professional support. It does not decide what parenting outcome should legally occur.

06Property

Steadfast has no property or asset-division framework today. Nothing in the product or in these documents calculates, estimates or suggests a property split, and this section states the standard that would apply if such a feature were ever built.

Any explanation of Australian property settlement that Steadfast might one day show would be simplified educational material. It would not be a formula, would not predict a percentage split, would not substitute for legal or financial advice, and could not account for every factual or legal complication.

Matters a simplified explanation cannot account for

Binding financial agreements Companies Trusts Superannuation Taxation Overseas assets Inheritances Bankruptcy Third-party interests Valuations Disclosure issues Family violence impacts Disputed relationship dates Maintenance

The property framework shown is a simplified explanation of general Australian family-law concepts. Individual outcomes depend on the facts and the applicable law and should be considered with qualified legal and, where appropriate, financial advice.

The wording above is held here so that it ships with the feature, not after it.

07Safety and crisis

Steadfast is not an emergency or crisis response service

If anyone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services on 000. Crisis support: Lifeline 13 11 14, MensLine 1300 78 99 78.

Steadfast does not:

  • continuously monitor users;
  • know a user’s physical location unless it is explicitly and lawfully provided;
  • automatically contact emergency services;
  • guarantee intervention;
  • replace emergency, medical, mental-health, family-violence or child-protection services.

The safety layer described in the memorandum is designed to recognise certain signals in what a user writes and to surface crisis pathways. It is a software control, not supervision. Steadfast is not watching over anyone and will not intervene on their behalf.

08Financial matters

Nothing in the product or these documents concerning property, assets, liabilities, funding, investments, superannuation, mortgages, taxation or financial planning is personal financial advice, and it is not provided through an authorised person or service. Steadfast may provide general information and organisational assistance only.

Obtain independent legal, accounting, tax and financial advice where appropriate.

09Referrals and third parties

No referral arrangement is in place today. This section states the standard that will apply if one is entered into, and is a commitment rather than a description of something already built.

Where Steadfast introduces or displays a professional or provider:

  1. that professional or provider is a separate third party;
  2. Steadfast does not control their professional advice or decisions;
  3. a referral does not guarantee suitability, availability or outcome;
  4. users remain free to choose their own professional;
  5. any material commercial relationship, referral fee, commission or other benefit received by Steadfast will be transparently disclosed where required and appropriate.

Providers will not be ranked by what they pay. The referral engine must optimise for the user’s outcome, not the referral fee.

For third-party family-law or litigation funding, Steadfast does not approve funding, eligibility is determined independently by the provider, and terms and costs belong to that provider. Users should consider those terms carefully and obtain independent advice.

10The Information Memorandum itself

The Information Memorandum and the investor summary are private and confidential and have been prepared for discussion and information purposes only. They contain general information, founder observations, product concepts and commercial hypotheses.

  • They are not legal advice, financial advice, financial product advice, investment advice, tax advice or any other professional advice.
  • They are not an offer, invitation or recommendation to acquire any security or financial product.
  • They are not a prospectus, product disclosure statement or any other regulated disclosure document.
  • No representation is made that either document qualifies for any particular fundraising exemption. That is a question for qualified counsel and has not been confirmed.

Recipients should make their own enquiries and obtain independent legal, financial and tax advice before making any decision.

11Confidentiality and intellectual property

These documents are confidential and are provided for the recipient’s evaluation only. They are not to be reproduced, circulated or disclosed without written consent. Intellectual property in the product, the codebase, the brand and these materials is retained by its owners, and ownership as between the parties involved is itself an outstanding item recorded in the memorandum.

12Opinions and founder views

The documents distinguish three kinds of statement.

Fact
Supported by authoritative evidence, a dated verification run, or the codebase itself.
Observation
A founder view based on experience or belief. Reasonable people may disagree.
Hypothesis
Something Steadfast intends to test, and has not yet tested.

Observations about the family-law system, professional-service incentives, user behaviour and market opportunity are not presented as established fact. In particular, no claim is made that practitioners prolong matters for fee reasons. The defensible statement is narrower: family law is delivered largely through professional services, professional time costs money, and conflict, delay and disorganisation can consume more of that time. Steadfast is designed to reduce avoidable confusion and improve preparation.

13Forward-looking statements

Statements about future referrals, memberships, professional partnerships, market expansion, outcome data, professional adoption and future revenue are hypotheses to be tested, not promises.

Forward-looking statements, commercial models and projections reflect current expectations and assumptions only. Actual outcomes may differ materially, and no representation or warranty is made that proposed milestones, commercial arrangements or outcomes will be achieved.

That qualification does not excuse an unsupported claim made elsewhere. Where a statement is a hypothesis, the documents label it as one.

14No outcome guarantees

Steadfast does not promise, and must not be described as promising, that it will:

  • save a relationship, or preserve or secure a parenting arrangement or child contact;
  • win a case, reduce a property settlement, or prevent litigation;
  • save a particular amount in legal costs;
  • improve mental-health outcomes;
  • guarantee a referral, secure funding, or produce a particular commercial return.

Where the documents describe intent, they use language such as designed to, intended to, can help, seeks to, may assist and hypothesis to be tested.

15Privacy

The memorandum describes the privacy architecture as it is built. Those are architecture statements, not absolute promises. No claim is made, and none should be made, that information can never be accessed or that any system is incapable of failure.

Specifically, and stated plainly:

  • To produce a reply, what a user writes is sent to the AI model provider, which processes it in the United States. Other case data is stored in Sydney.
  • The AI gateway is configured not to retain prompt or reply payloads. That is a configuration and a contractual position, not a physical impossibility, and it does not govern the model provider’s own handling.
  • An administrative credential exists for account deletion. It is not used for ordinary data access.
  • Verification results are true as at the dates given and do not certify the system against future change.

The consumer product must separately and clearly disclose that AI is used, what personal information is collected and why, relevant third-party AI processing, how information is stored, how memory works, how a user can correct or delete information, retention practices and material limitations. Sensitive information should be collected only where necessary and handled consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements. A disclaimer is not a substitute for the controls themselves.

16Australian Consumer Law

All public claims about Steadfast must be true, current, accurate, supportable and not misleading by omission. This applies with particular force to claims about safety, privacy, Australian hosting, AI retention, professional involvement, lawyer endorsement, effectiveness, security, test results, cost, referrals and free access.

Where access is described as free, any material condition or limitation must be disclosed with it. Fine print must not contradict the overall impression created by a headline.

17How this notice is applied

Legal text set in paragraphs on every screen is read by nobody. The qualifications are carried in three layers instead, so that each one is met where it is relevant rather than all at once.

Layer 1 · Standing line

Private and confidential · General information only · Not legal, financial or investment advice. In the memorandum rail and the deck bar, on every screen.

Layer 2 · Context notices

A short qualification beside the thing it qualifies: AI limits with the model, the safety boundary with the safety layer, the referral principle with the referral model.

Layer 3 · This notice

The full statement, linked from both documents and reproduced as an appendix in the memorandum. Set at a size intended to be read.

No layer is permitted to contradict another. Where fine print would have to walk back a headline, the headline is corrected instead.

18Short form notice

The wording carried on the documents themselves.

Important notice

This presentation is private and confidential and has been prepared for discussion and information purposes only. It contains general information, founder opinions, product concepts and commercial hypotheses and does not constitute legal, financial, investment or other professional advice. Steadfast and Jewell are not law firms and do not provide legal advice. Nothing in this presentation constitutes an offer, invitation or recommendation to acquire any security or financial product, nor is it a prospectus or other disclosure document. Product capabilities, commercial models, market opportunities and forward-looking statements remain subject to validation and may change. Recipients should make their own enquiries and obtain independent professional advice before acting on this information.

19Consumer product notice

Written for a stressed user, not for a lawyer. The investor wording above must not be copied into the product.

Steadfast is an AI-powered support and organisation tool. It provides general information, not legal, financial, medical or psychological advice, and it is not an emergency service. AI can make mistakes and cannot independently verify everything you tell it. Important decisions should be checked with the appropriate qualified professional. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.

20Final legal review gate

Completion of the software MVP is not completion of legal and compliance review. These are separate gates and the second has not been passed.

Before public consumer launch, accepting referral revenue, entering professional referral agreements, introducing litigation or family-law funding, charging users, accepting external investment, or publishing investment terms, appropriately qualified Australian advisers should review, as relevant:

Consumer Law representations

Every public claim, tested for support.

This notice has not been reviewed by Australian legal counsel. It is a considered draft prepared alongside the memorandum, and the final wording of this notice, the Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, referral arrangements and all consumer representations should be reviewed by appropriately qualified Australian advisers before public launch or external distribution.
